This is the cutest book EVER!! Narrated by a young boy who essentially explains to the reader how much he loves his father and vice versa. It perfectly depicts the point of view of a little guy with a wonderful imagination. He explains all the things his daddy’s arms do and imagines they’re a whole bunch of different things like mountains to climb or big fuzzy paws. It’s the perfect length, it’s written in rhyme, it’s expertly illustrated and it’s simply adorable... I highly recommend this one!!

What a heartwarming book, narrated by a young boy who lives in a single parent household. He really wishes he had a father and often finds comfort from watching reruns of his favorite TV show. One day a man joins the family for dinner and the boy is very curious and clearly enjoys the male presence within the house. As time goes on it’s clear that mom and this guy are happy together and eventually the boy gets the father figure he needs.

I must admit this book hit me close to home as I have literally been in the exact same situation as a young child. I absolutely love this book and I think the scenarios and interactions between the characters are extremely realistic. Not only does this book emphasize how important a father is to a child but also illustrates a certain level of respect about boundaries from the stepfather towards everyone within the family. This book is definitely a must for any single mothers out there and also a great addition to any classroom.

A really great idea for a book. I’ve always said we should be teaching kids about money from an early age in school. This one is very well done, great artwork and gets to the point. When two kids ask their father about money he goes over the basics with them. Simple concept and very well presented. The more we teach our children how money works, the more prepared they will be in the future.

Here’s a topic you don’t see everyday !! This book will definitely be a must for all those military families out there.

Narrated from the child’s point of view. Daddy is back home from the military and was hurt in battle. Missing an arm and a leg daddy now has special arms and legs but it’s ok. He’s still strong, brave and lots of fun. He has a wonderful service dog and loves his family very much.

This is a great book to help explain to children why they might see a person with a prosthetic limb and to not be surprised or point and stare. It’s a great opener for larger conversations about war and the sacrifices soldiers make and also about the amazing medical advancements being made with prosthetics. I read this with my students and they were quite curious why the dad had lost his arm and leg. After explaining that sometimes that happens in war I used the opportunity to show the students some videos of our newest advancements. Prosthetic legs that can help people run fast, mind controlled arms, a boy with an MARVEL “iron man” arm etc. It’s a great book for teachers and definitely going to be a must have for certain families.

Here’s a good one about the ever present monster that lives under every child’s’ bed. When bedtime comes the shadows seem to come alive and who knows what’s going on under that bed.

A young boy screams for his dad because he’s pretty sure something just tickled his toes. It must the monster under the bed. He asks dad to have a look and make sure the shapes and shadows being cast aren’t the monster. As the boy points out different suspicious objects Dad looks and confirms that they’re just different toys and not to worry.

It’s a very simple concept and a scenario that happens to just about every kid. We’ve all payed there and let our imagination run wild while we’re trying to go to sleep. This is of course a perfect bedtime story and a must have for anyone with a monster under their bed.

This book is about a fun, hardworking dad and his cute daughter who comes along with him to work.

It’s a simple storyline narrated by the daughter as she introduces the reader to her father. She talks about what he does at work, being a janitor and how she loves going to work with him. She helps him clean and spends a happy day with him.

This book really portrays the unconditional love and admiration children have for their fathers and how exciting even the simplest things like going to work with Dad can be. Overall great Daddy+Daughter book and also useful in the classroom for teachers teaching occupations. Salute to all the janitors out there keeping things clean!

Narrated from the child’s point of view and it’s super adorable. The little guy is trying not to encourage his dad because he knows that if he even breaks the tiniest grin, the bad dad jokes won’t stop. Despite his best efforts the bad dad jokes keep coming and eventually he breaks out laughing 😂 the whole thing is super cute and I love the way it’s written.

This book put a giant smile on my face and reminded me of my dad and all his bad dad jokes. God bless fathers everywhere and their terribly, awfully, painfully bad dad jokes!
